#7 Residential Landscape
Designed by Sid Lisanby
Back garden: Client has strong French influences, as well as Charleston and New Orleans. Back garden was nothing more than the porch attached to the house and a weed patch between there and the detached garage. She wanted a garden with privacy, very crisp clean, elegant, lines. One of Sid’s favorite parts of the garden is the “Hornbeam room” just inside the back entry gate.
Program elements: sandset brick terrace, lattice/solid panel to dress up detached garage, formal planting, irrigation, brick sit walls with bluestone caps, containers on the sit walls
Front garden: this was partially done. We added containers, brick walk with medallion and brick sitwall with limestone cap, and we did some of the planting. The client loves the Paperbark Maple we planted located over by the sitwall.
