#5 Residential Landscape
Designed by Sid Lisanby
Back garden program elements: removed old brick porch and built new covered porch with bluestone floor, outdoor kitchen, lutron system, sky lights, outdoor heaters, fireplace, lighting, water feature, lighting, irrigation, planting and a sitwall.
Client goals: had back yard and porch that was not welcoming, too small and nonfunctional. Desired a usable space both intimate enough for daily family use and comfortable for entertaining. Privacy was important. The water feature and sitwall are engaging, and draw you from the porch and house into the garden. There is a snapshot from the street lined up on the water feature that is meant intrigue and draw you into the garden. The porch is truly an extension of the living space into the garden.
